A Major Finish!

I have finally finished a piece that has taken me several years (2 to be exact). The reason it has taken sooooo long is that virtually every stitch, both in the horse and the grass, the dirt, and the trees in the background is a different color of anchor floss. Also, since it was a kit, the floss came on these cards with their numbers next to them, but quickly became a mass of tangles.
But now she is finally finished, and in plenty of time for my granddaughter's tenth birthday. We will go together to pick out a frame for her.

Now I can start to design a birth sampler for my newest grandson, who, btw, tipped the scale at 5 lbs, 10 oz. He is gaining better than an ounce a week!

Also have to begin a new Christmas Stocking ("with a Teddy Bear" ) for #3 granddaughter! Grandmas are so busy!!!

Congratulations on the finish! It's lovely, and I really like the way the mane is worked.

I'm so happy to hear that your grandson is doing so well!

Take care!
