Update

Here are parts 1 and 2 of "Antique Sampler". The next part won't be available until next Thursday, March 1. This is the first time I have started a SAL without having most of the charts in my hot little hands.

Since we'll be on the road this weekend for one of our granddaughters' 8th Birthday, I guess I will switch back to knitting the scarf I was working on at the hospital.

I'm also relearing how to crochet granny squares so I can make a blanket for some of the other GD's American Girl Dolls. I'll let you know how that turns out in a week or so. I know that I know ow to do them...I've done them before, but for some reason it is taking me a bit to get back into the rhythm of the crochet. I don't know why I am having the trouble, but I'm sure I will work it out soon.

Take care all.............Grandma

Gosh it takes soo much patience to do such fine beautiful embroidery, that would make a precious gift or heirloom for one of your kids.I've just mastered doing simple squares for an afghan blanket in pale blue for my niece. I take it as a long term project and like to do exciting little bags or scarves in between.
I want to learn how to do the roses and flowers on these items to make them super gorgeous though. I wish my mom could teach me how to crochet but she's too old now and has to use those special Tracfone SVC phones for seniors with the bigger keys and letters on the screen.
My friends have already put in their orders for little crochet bags for their birthdays. I love the fact you can give a personally made gift to a friend and it doesn't cost you much and your friend is so flattered that you made an item with them in mind.
Enjoy making your afghan and we'd love to see the progress a.s.a.p.
